Introduction [Biosketch]

Presently I am working as an Assistant Professor (Selection Grade, Stage-12) in the Department of Geology, Gurucharan University, Silchar since 7th February 2014 and teaching Coal Geology (Fuel Geology), Economic Geology, Crystallography and Mineralogy, Stratigraphy, Geochemistry etc. in the undergraduate courses both under CBCS and NEP curriculum. Also I am engaged in research activities in North Eastern Coal since 2000 and worked on petrography, rock-eval analysis and other parameters and published a good number of papers including Q1 journal also published patents. I also worked a lot on mine water of northeastern coals. Currently my research focuses on critical minerals including REE of the coalfields of Meghalaya along with other north eastern coal fields and desulfurization techniques on which I have published a patent. With a kin interest in pushing the boundaries of geoscience and fostering interdisciplinary approach, I bring a wealth of experience to the field of coal science (earth science). My goal is to continue contributing to the forefront of knowledge addressing critical challenges in this domain.
